The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
